Before we jump into the payment method, you must create an NBI clearance Online Application, which may require details like scheduling an appointment and the transaction reference number.
So whether you’re a new user or you are going to renew your NBI clearance. This Guide is going to help you in renewing your NBI Clearance.
Steps to Pay NBI Clearance Using GCash:
1. NBI Clearance Reference number:
Open the NBI portal on your browser and click on the transaction menu. Your NBI reference number and status or action details will be there. You can copy your reference number and paste it into a notepad.

2. GCash Login:
Login to your GCash application. If you’ve not installed it, Go to the play store, download the app and register yourself.
If you are a user of GCash, all you need to do is click the GCash application and enter your PIN.

3. Top Up E-wallet Balance:
Check the balance in your GCash wallet. Is it enough to pay your NBI clearance? If you do not have sufficient balance. Click on Cash In Button and top up your GCash wallet.

After clicking on Cash In button, it will aj your 4-digit pin to top up money in your e-wallet. Select the platform which contains balance. You can select online banking or PayPal or remittance based on your choice. There may be an extra transfer fee.

4. Verify GCash Balance:
After the top-up, check the current balance in your GCash wallet. Verify that you have sufficient balance to pay your NBI Clearance. There should be at least 155pesos.

5. Select Bills:
You must select the Bills option from GCash Dashboard to proceed with your payments of NBI Clearance.
It will take you to the “Pay Bills.” menu page. Under the Biller Categories, Select the Government Menu. On the Government page, select the NBI, or you can search it by using the search bar.

6. Enter Details:
Enter the following details, including the Reference Number, Contact Number and Clearance Amount.
Email address is optional. Suppose you want to receive a confirmational email or digital receipt. You can add your email; otherwise, leave that field. The additional transaction charge is ₱40.00 for paying the amount of NBI Clearance using GCash.

7. Successful Payment:
Click on Next after entering all required details. It will show you the NBI Confirmation pay bills page. Ensure you have entered the correct reference number and contact number; after verifying, Click on Confirm.



You will receive a digital receipt at your Email address. Verify your payment history by mail. Or you can go to the online portal of NBI Clearance to check whether the payment is successful. Save your digital clearance receipt on your device; you may need it later.
