When you forget your MPIN or get locked out of your account due to failed login attempts, you can reset your MPIN in several ways.
There may be four different sceniaro.
For Verified Users:
- Who have not set up security questions in their account
- Who have set up security questions in their account
For unverified Users:
- Who have not set up security questions in their account
- Who have set up security questions in their account
For Verified Users who have not set up security Question:
Here are the steps to take if you haven’t set up security questions on the app, but are a fully verified user:
Step 1: On the log-in screen of the GCash app, tap Forgot MPIN

Step 2: From the pop-up screen, select Send Code. GCash will send you an authentication code to your registered mobile number

Step 3: Next, enter the Authentication Code you received and click Submit. If you did not receive the code, tap “Tap Here to resend”

STEP 4: Answer the Account Information of your GCash Account.
There are only three (3) chances to answer all questions correctly. After your third attempt, you must wait 24 hours before trying again if you entered a wrong answer

Step 5: Tap Submit after entering your NEW MPIN. During the process, you must create a new MPIN that differs from your previous three (3) MPINS. Make sure your MPIN is not easy to guess, such as your birthday, 1234, or the last four digits of your phone number. Don’t share your MPIN or OTP with others!

After you have successfully reset your MPIN, you will see a confirmation screen. You can start using GCash after tapping OK to return to the login screen.

For Verified Users who have set up security Question:
Here are the steps to take if you have set up security questions on the app, but are a fully verified user:
Step 1: On the log-in screen of the GCash app, tap Forgot MPIN

Step 2: From the pop-up screen, select Send Code. GCash will send you an authentication code to your registered mobile number

Step 3: Next, enter the Authentication Code you received and click Submit. If you did not receive the code, tap “Tap Here to resend”

STEP 4: Be sure to answer the security questions you completed before your account was locked out.
Each question can only be answered correctly three (3) times. To try again, you must wait for 24 hours if you enter a wrong answer in your third attempt.

For Un-Verified Users who had not set up security Questions:
To reset your MPIN and recover your account, you will need to file a support request if you have not set up your security questions. The following tips will help you file a ticket properly:
Step 1: To file a ticket, go to the GCash Help Center. Within 24 hours, a GCash Representative will contact you to assist you with accessing your GCash App.

STEP 2: Select MPIN in the concern category box

Step 3: Enter the reason for your MPIN Reset Request in the explain your concern field

Step 4: Enter the date of your last transaction and what kind of transaction you made in your GCash account

Step 5: Enter the current balance in your account. It should be the exact amount, don’t enter the range.

Step 6: Enter your complete date of Birth

You must enter your complete address associated with your GCash account in order to proceed.

Step 8: Upon receiving your ticket, you will receive an email confirmation. You can follow up on your request by using the ticket number provided in the email.

For Un-Verified Users who had set up security Questions:
Here are the steps you can follow if you aren’t a verified user but set up security questions on the app:
Step 1: On the log-in screen of the GCash app, tap Forgot MPIN

Step 2: From the pop-up screen, select Send Code. GCash will send you an authentication code to your registered mobile number

Step 3: Next, enter the Authentication Code you received and click Submit. If you did not receive the code, tap “Tap Here to resend”
